FRANK DE BOER (98/99)

After a thrilling World Cup in which Netherlands finished fourth, Frank de Boer went back to Ajax at the beginning of the 1998/99 season. After 6 months with the Netherland’s Eredivisie champions, the Dutchman signed for Barça in January. The right choice for the defender as Ajax didn’t make it in the Champion’s League qualifying spots, while Barça ended up being champions in La Liga. After that, de Boer totalled 179 games, 8 goals, 2 assists and 1 red card only. A good memory for Barça fans. He remained at Barça until the 2002/03 season.
