The starting XI that played and won the Champion's League final in Berlin is considered, in terms of the importance and the quality of the players, as the best possible XI eleven for Luis Enrique:
The first time was on December the 5th, at Valencia's venue, in La Liga Day 14. That day, logically, the goalkeeper was Claudio Bravo, but the rest of the team formed the said best XI. It wasn't a good test, as Barça and Valencia (which had just confirmed Gary Neville who replace Nuno on the Bench, with Voro taking the lead coach position for that game) drew 1-1.
The second appearance of this gala XI was in the Clubs' World Final, against River Plate, also with Bravo in goal. Neymar (injured) and Messi (unwell) had not played the semi-final but were back for this decisive game, ended on a Barcelona win 3-0.
The third (and last) time Luis Enrique lined up these players was on January the 2nd, at Espanyol venue, in the first game of 2016. The game ended on a goalless draw.
This Saturday, in La Liga Day 22, Barça will play againt Atlético Madrid at Camp Nou. After Jordi Alba recovered from his hamstring injury on the right leg, and Busquets and Iniesta have overcome the flu, it is another chance for Luis Enrique to line up for the fourth time this ideal XI.
El Barça adds Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal
Since Barça registered 2 more players in the winter transfer window, the best XI has now 2 potential variations. The most logical way would be Arda Turan in the middle and Aleix Vidal as a right-back.
The first variation (to put Arda Turan instead of Rakitic) took form on January the 6th, first leg of Copa del Rey's last 16 round, in the 4-1 win against Espanyol. That day, moreover, Ter Stegen was the goalkeeper. The second Variation, with Aleix Vidal as a right-back, happened on January the 17th, in a La Liga game: Barça 6 - 0 Athletic.
