The 24-year-old laid on Lionel Messi's first goal to move into double figures for assists in La Liga this season as Luis Enrique's side romped to victory on Thursday night

Barcelona were once again in stellar form as they thrashed Rayo Vallecano 5-1 to move eight points clear at the top of La Liga with 11 games left to play.

The victory also saw Luis Enrique's side surpass Real Madrid to set a new Spanish record of 35 games unbeaten which has stood since the 1988-89 season.

Lionel Messi was again the star for the visitors as he netted a hat-trick, with Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan also on target. Luis Suarez was left frustrated, though, after seeing his second-half penalty saved.

Neymar was another man who failed to find the back of the net although his assist for Messi's first goal means the Brazilian does reach a landmark.
